D4P – Dose for Patient

Co-founders: Nathalie Wardé and Christophe Schmitt

Today in Switzerland, nearly one in two people with chronic illnesses do not take their medication correctly. This lack of adherence to treatment costs the healthcare system over 30 billion francs each year. In response to this problem, the startup D4P – Dose for Patient has developed a mobile application and a web platform that allows medications to be tracked from order to administration by the patient.

Thanks to the D4P app, pharmacists can scan each medication ordered when preparing patients' weekly pill organizers. Patients also use the app to receive reminders about when and how much to take their medication, as well as to confirm that they have taken it. For individuals with limited autonomy, this can be handled by a family caregiver or home health aide.
